What & Why

As a result of growth our client is looking to add a Senior Data Engineer to their team to design, build, and optimize data systems that power analytics and decision-making across the business. This role will lead the development of scalable ETL pipelines, data integrations, and performance tuning using Snowflake, Databricks, Python, SQL, and Azure services. The Senior Data Engineer will partner with global teams, mentor junior engineers, and set technical direction to ensure data quality, reliability, and compliance with industry standards. Ideal candidates bring 6+ years of experience in data engineering, deep expertise in cloud-based data platforms, and a proactive mindset with strong problem-solving and communication skills. You should have strong cloud data engineering experience and a security-first mindset, along with a passion for building resilient and scalable systems.

They are located close to rapid transit in newly renovated offices in downtown Vancouver and have a primarily onsite arrangement, 4 days a week in office.

You

You will bring the following education, skills and experience to the role:

• 8+ years in IT/Technology; 3+ of those in program management or managing large, technical projects in B2B or digital commerce contexts.
• Comfortable discussing architectures, integrations (APIs, OMS, ERP), SaaS solutions, deployment processes, and platforms.
• Strong working knowledge of Agile, Waterfall, or hybrid delivery methodologies.
• Demonstrated success delivering large-scale, cross-functional technical initiatives in a matrix organization.
• Prior experience in B2B digital platforms, wholesale systems, or business partner integrations.
• Knowledge of digital commerce tech stacks, order management systems, and business partner onboarding workflows.
• Experience with tools like JIRA, Confluence, SFCC (Salesforce Commerce Cloud), or equivalent platforms.

Compensation

This role pays between $75-95 per hour.
