Job summary

A leading insurance provider in Montreal is seeking a bilingual customer service representative to manage cancellation calls and assist clients with claims and billing concerns. Candidates should have at least one year of relevant experience, fluency in both French and English, and a college diploma or equivalent experience. Familiarity with Microsoft Office is required. This is an in-office position with a flexible schedule based on business demands.

Job description

Location: Bard, Quebec

PRIMARY DUTIES
  • Handle Incoming Cancellation Calls and perform Outbound call activities for past due policies
  • Handle direct returning incoming calls as a result of outbound activities.
  • Follow up on customer issues regarding claims, billing or other service concerns.
  • Assist customers in redrafting payments to existing accounts, set up new account information, or collect needed premium via credit card.
  • Cross sell over the phone.
  • Process routine requests for service items.
  • Miscellaneous department activities as needed.
Qualifications
  • Fluent in French and English (written and verbal).
  • College diploma or equivalent work experience.
  • Minimum of 1 year of relevant work experience
  • Must be licensed in Accident & Sickness, and Life
  • Ability to multi-task, talking with customers while completing paperwork and system changes
  • Outgoing and engaging conversation skills.
  • Sales acumen, business sense.
  • Effective listening and problem-solving skills
  • Previous contact center experience required.
  • Strong communication skills with a detail-oriented and analytical mindset.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, etc.).
