We are currently seeking applicants for the position of Crane Operator Apprentices to join our fast-paced, dynamic team in Saint John, New Brunswick. This is a great opportunity to start a rewarding career in crane operation.

Qualifications
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Strong communication skills and teamwork abilities.
  • Basic understanding of mechanical and hydraulic principles is an asset.
  • Strong mechanical aptitude and willingness to learn and follow instructions from experienced operators.
  • Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions.
  • Good physical fitness and ability to lift heavy objects.
  • Valid driver’s license (minimum Class 5, willing to get Class 1 within one year).

Responsibilities
  • Learn and adhere to safety procedures, operational procedures and regulations under the guidance of experienced operators.
  • Actively participate in the safety program at all times.
  • Assist experienced crane operators in various tasks while learning the skills necessary to become a qualified crane operator.
  • Assist in the setup and preparation of cranes for operation.
  • Observe and assist in crane operations to understand proper techniques.
  • Perform routine maintenance and inspections on cranes and related equipment.
  • Support lifting and rigging activities under supervision.
  • Keep accurate records of work hours, tasks performed, and skills learned.
  • Maintain a clean and organized work environment.
  • Communicate effectively with team members and supervisors.
  • Participate in training sessions and educational programs to enhance crane operation knowledge.
  • Willingness to travel.
