Overview

Corporate Sr. Travel Advisor – Sabre – Remote

Direct Travel is a leading Travel Management Company (TMC) focused on reimagining business travel, personalized experiences, and meetings & events. This remote role is part of the Canada West Region Team and involves delivering comprehensive, accurate, cost-effective travel arrangements for Direct Travel clients in line with company policies and preferred suppliers.

Position status: Remote

Responsibilities

• Managing all aspects of client travel reservations.
• Developing creative solutions to serve client needs.
• Keeping up to date with industry developments.
• Fulfilling complex and unusual travel requests.
• Reviewing all reservations for travel policy and procedure compliance.
• Advising clients on lowest fare and routing options.
• Ensuring that all reservation files pass quality control prior to ticket issuance.
• Following all policy and procedures as outlined in the training manual.
• Providing quality service to each corporate client.
• Supporting preferred vendor agreements.
• Callbacks to clients.
• Researching client needs or special requests when required.

Qualifications

• 10 years experience as a corporate travel advisor.
• 10 years experience with Sabre – GDS.
• Bilingual in English and French is an asset.
• Travel School Graduate preferred.
• Experience with Domestic and Transborder reservations.
• Hands-on Car / Hotel reservation knowledge.
• Demonstrate in-depth knowledge of airline ticketing rules and regulations.
• Excellent customer service ability.
• Solid communications techniques.
• Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
• Problem solver and ability to think "outside the box" for customers.
• Team player; able to be flexible and multi-task.
• Must be able to lawfully work in Canada and have unrestricted work authorization for Canada.
