A food service company in Edmonton is seeking a Sales Support Specialist to assist the sales team in customer service and administrative tasks. This role requires strong communication and organizational skills, with benefits starting after 30 days. Candidates should have prior sales support or administrative experience. The position demands the ability to handle multiple tasks efficiently and collaborate effectively with team members.
Supports members of the Broadline Sales Team in customer service, computer reporting, analytics, event planning, and administrative responsibilities.
The successful candidate should be able to commute to the Edmonton, Calgary, Winnipeg, or Delta DC at least 4 days a week.

Coordinate, execute business review and presentation materials. Analyze all data to ensure consistency with contract (where applicable).
Serve as an information resource to Healthcare Sales Representatives, National Account Managers, Logistics, and Sales Support, and work collaboratively with the Healthcare Strategy Specialist.
Participate in new customer implementation by attending weekly meetings and supporting new customer setup. Coordinate internal departments to support new customers.
Provide organization for Sales Team through completing assigned projects.
Coordinate the order guide process by creating customer item list support and maintaining customer item list.
Create standard and ad hoc reports to support sales using Business Objects. Analyze reports to ensure data integrity.
Coordinate and schedule meetings and events, such as conference calls, Go To Meetings, customer travel, and GFS on-site arrangements.
Work directly with customers to resolve opportunities, including general inquiries, LTOs, service, and product issues.
Conduct general administrative activities such as answering phones, filing, correspondence, technology needs, processing invoices, ordering office supplies, and office support.
Perform other duties as assigned.
High School diploma or equivalent required.
Associate Degree in Business or a related field preferred
Two to four years of previous sales support experience or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.
Previous Administrative Assistant experience preferred.
Must have excellent written, verbal, organizational, and communication skills, as well as problem-solving capabilities.
Ability to use discretion and make sound judgments.
Ability to cope with stressful situations and maintain a calm and professional demeanor.
Must be able to multitask, prioritize, and work independently or within a team environment.
Good customer service and time management skills.
Desktop or laptop computer, networked printer/copier/fax, Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Internet Explorer), and Google Apps (Gmail, Calendar, Docs, Drive, Sites, Groups) are required.
