  • Physically able to stand for extended periods (100% of shift).
  • Valid Food Handler Certification is a plus.

Job Description

Our Cooks are passionate culinary professionals who thrive in fast-paced, high-volume environments. With a growing foundation in fine dining or professional kitchens, they are organized, adaptable, and eager to build their skills. Under the guidance of the Sous Chef and Executive Chef, our cooks contribute to the overall success of each service through consistency, teamwork, and attention to detail.

The Day to Day:

  • Prepare and cook for some of Toronto’s most exclusive events, private parties, and corporate functions
  • Take direction and feedback from the Sous Chef, Chef, and General Manager with a positive attitude
  • Proactively organize and maintain your station in accordance with Oliver & Bonacini (O&B) standards
  • Follow all recipes, portion controls, and plating guidelines to ensure consistency and quality
  • Maintain an up-to-date prep list and complete all tasks in a timely, organized manner
  • Apply the FIFO (First In, First Out) method to ensure freshness and minimize waste
  • Assist with receiving and properly storing deliveries as needed
  • Ensure cleanliness of all food preparation areas, equipment, and utensils in strict accordance with food safety and sanitation standards
  • Adhere to WHMIS guidelines and company safety protocols
  • Perform other duties as assigned or required by the culinary leadership team
Qualifications
  • 1–2 years of cooking experience in a fast-paced, high-volume event or restaurantenvironment
  • Culinary diploma or degree is considered an asset
  • Strong understanding of professional cooking techniques and knife handling skills
  • Ability to take direction, work efficiently, and remain calm under pressure
  • Physically able to stand for extended periods (100% of shift)
  • Valid Food Handler Certification is a plus
  • Available to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as required
