Terms of Employment: Full Time, Permanent Position

Location of Work: Charlottetown, PE

We will provide:

  • Minimum 30 hours/ week throughout your employment period
  • Paid Vacation of 2 Weeks each year or 4% of salary
  • Pay Range of $30 – $32 per hour

Duties

  • Preparing meat, vegetables, garnishes, and other ingredients to be used for cooking
  • Coordinate food purchasing, budgeting and planning operations with other staff members
  • Establish production and staff schedules to ensure that there is sufficient help at all times to ensure timely delivery of food services
  • Supervise kitchen staff to ensure proper food handling and preparation methods are being followed
  • Prepares and cooks vegetables, meats, sauces, soups, desserts for meals and snacks.
  • Reviews diet requests, reads menus, recipes, food preparation methods and determines quantities of ingredients.
  • Participate actively in planning/preparing special occasion and theme meal days
  • Monitoring and reordering inventory supplies
  • Ensuring kitchen is clean and tidy all the time
  • Training staff in proper procedures for duties as designated

Requirements

No Education Required

Minimum of three years of experience is required

Ability to legally work in Canada
