Join us as a Control Systems Engineer, and you\'ll be looking at a career-defining role based in St-Bruno (QC), CA. The Control Engineer is in charge of defining the architecture and functionalities of safety relevant Train Control systems, along with Alerter/Vigilance, Event Recording subsystems, plus Train-to-Wayside Communication. As well, the Control Engineer’s responsibilities include ensuring the successful integration of these systems into the train.
The Control Systems Engineer ensures the successful integration of their assigned system. This starts with assessment, acceptance and synthesis of both the customer and internal requirements, definition/description of the system architecture at the train level, concluding with the conformed Technical Purchase Specification (TPS) for the system. The Control Systems Engineer will work with suppliers and internal participating units to create the Interface Control Document (ICD), Electrical Interface Specification (EIS), Functional Principle Schemes (FPS), along with verification and validation test documents at the train level. At defined milestones in the project life, the Control Engineer will provide design reviews internally and to customers, sharing their deep understanding of the requirements for the system along communicating technical information about the design, plus how the system is complying with the breadth of technical requirements. He/she may work independently on the design but takes direction from the Train Control Engineer or Project Engineering Manager.
