Job summary

A leading aerospace company in Dorval is seeking a Leader, Operations who will supervise a team of approximately 25 unionized employees and be responsible for achieving production objectives. Candidates should possess a relevant degree and at least five years of supervisory experience in a manufacturing environment. What are your contributions to the team?
  • Work on the day shift from Monday to Friday.
  • Plan and supervise the activities and management of a team of approximately 25 unionized employees.
  • Be responsible for the operational processes of your sector by achieving and monitoring the production objectives.
  • Plan the daily operations of his sector and follow up on them.
  • Report and analyze various indicators related to productivity, quality, health and safety, absenteeism, etc.
  • Resolve problems in an efficient and timely manner.
  • Maintain communication with other departments for any issue related to his sector.
  • Ensure continuous improvement through the use of operational excellence concepts and the problem solving process.
  • Ensure the training of its employees, evaluate their performance and their progress.
  • Promote a work environment based on teamwork and open communication.
How to thrive in this role?
  • You have a college or university degree in aeronautics, engineering, operations management or a related field.
  • You have at least five (5) years of experience in a supervisory role in a unionized manufacturing environment.
  • You have strong planning and organizational skills to ensure results are achieved.
  • You demonstrate managerial courage when managing personnel.

  • You have excellent communication and leadership skills.
