Overview

Are you someone who thrives on adventure? As a Field Supervisor at Rosor, you’ll travel across North America and internationally, leading high-tech UAV survey operations at remote sites. A Day in the Life

Lead the crew, plan flight zones, and ensure operations run smoothly from launch to landing. Real-time problem-solving, data quality checks, and clear communication with your team and clients are part of a day work. As Rosor continues to scale, Field Supervisors are the frontline leaders who uphold operational standards, safety culture, and client experience. We are seeking individuals who take initiative, communicate clearly, and demonstrate strong situational awareness in complex field environments.

Key Responsibilities
  • Operate and pilot UAVs during survey missions in accordance with approved flight plans, aviation regulations, and project requirements.
  • Lead, manage, and support field crews during daily UAV survey operations.
  • Ensure strict adherence to aviation regulations, SFOC, HSE, and site-specific protocols.
  • Conduct pre-flight planning, safety briefings, risk assessments, and hazard identification.
  • Oversee production planning, workflow organization, and execution of flight lines.
  • Monitor data quality (Mag/LiDAR), review flight logs, and complete daily field reporting.
  • Provide real-time updates to the Project Manager regarding progress, weather, issues, or risks.
  • Communicate professionally with clients, landowners, contractors, and site personnel.
  • Manage field equipment, power systems, charging cycles, and troubleshooting.
  • Mentor and coach field staff; uphold Rosor’s culture of professionalism, preparedness, and safety.
  • Support logistics coordination (mobilization, demobilization, transport, accommodation) as required.
Requirements
  • Proven experience as a supervisor, crew lead, or team lead.
  • Experience with multi-rotor/fixed-wing UAVs in industrial environments.
  • Familiarity with airspace classifications and compliance requirements.
  • Ability to operate in remote, rugged field conditions.
  • Strong technical troubleshooting, safety awareness, and communication skills.
  • UAV operational experience OR background in geophysical surveys, aviation, or related field.
  • Strong communication, leadership, and decision-making skills.
  • Valid driver’s license
Assets
  • Advanced RPAS Certificate
  • FAA Part 107 Remote Pilot Certificate (required).
  • Mechanical/technical troubleshooting experience
  • Experience with airborne geophysics (Mag / LiDAR / Radiometrics)
