What You’ll Be Doing

As a member of CIBC’s Capital Markets Technology team, the Consultant, Data and AI Analyticsis responsible for supporting the delivery of advanced advice in data analytics, providing research and insights, and ensuring senior management has the relevant information to make informed decisions. As theConsultant, Data and AI Analytics, you will not only analyze data but also build intelligent AI solutions that deliver actionable business insights. The role performs tasks of technical depth and breadth, utilizing a solid understanding of business dynamics to conduct impact analysis and provide feedback on problems with recommended solutions involving AI.

At CIBC we enable the work environment most optimal for you to thrive in your role. You’ll have the flexibility to manage your work activities within a hybrid work arrangement where you’ll spend 2-3 days per week on‑site, while other days will be remote.

How You’ll Succeed
  • Advanced Analytics & Modeling- Apply statistical techniques and machine learning models for predictive and prescriptive analytics.
  • Visualization & Reporting- Build interactive dashboards and reports using Power BI, Tableau, or Python visualization libraries.
  • AI Development & Automation- Design and build AI agents that automate business insights generation and decision support.
  • Collaboration & Governance- Partner with data engineers, AI scientists, and business teams to ensure compliance and innovation alignment.
Who You Are
  • You can demonstrate experience in: 2–5 years in data analytics, business intelligence, or related roles. You must have at least 2 years of Azure Databricks and at least 1‑2 years with GenAI like Microsoft Co‑Pilot Studio; coupled with at least 4 years of SQL and Python experience. It’s an asset if you have C# and PowerBI experience, and if you’ve worked within Capital Markets/Equities.
  • You have a degree in a quantitative field (i.e. mathematics, statistics, computer science, economics, engineering, physics, business) or equivalent experience.
  • You are a problem solver. You have exceptional critical thinking, problem solving and decision making skills with demonstrated ability to independently identify and analyze business problems and recommend solutions.
  • You demonstrate knowledge in organization's Information Technology (IT) environment and understand the integration / interdependencies of various processes across a line of business.
  • Your influence makes a difference. You know that relationships and networks are essential to success. You inspire outcomes by sharing your expertise.
