Role Responsibilities
  • Support the installation and removal of aboveground and underground tanks and piping systems across Atlantic Canada.
  • Perform site improvements at gas stations, including concrete repairs, tank pad upgrades, and island maintenance such as replacing manhole grade rings and spill containers.
  • Install, service, and repair petroleum handling equipment.
  • Operate construction tools and equipment safely and effectively, including quick-cut saws, jackhammers with air compressors, and towing trailers, while adhering to road safety regulations.
  • Collaborate with Project Managers and Construction Leads to plan and execute site repairs and upgrades efficiently.
  • Ensure all work complies with regulatory standards and certification requirements for petroleum and allied petroleum storage tanks, as mandated by local authorities.
  • Deliver exceptional customer service and demonstrate a proactive attitude toward learning and skill development.
Qualifications
  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Minimum of 3 years’ experience in construction-related projects.
  • Licensed tank installer certification is considered an asset (see acceptable licenses here: Certified people for the installation of storage tank systems for petroleum products and allied petroleum products - Canada.ca)
  • Valid Class 5 driver’s license with a clean driving record.
  • Willingness to travel, work on-call, and perform overtime as needed.
  • Strong interpersonal, organizational, and communication skills.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, team-oriented, and deadline-driven environment.
  • Capable of following direction, working independently, and maintaining a strong focus on safety.
  • Proficient in the use of construction tools and equipment.
  • Physically fit and able to perform demanding tasks, including extended shifts and additional hours.
  • Able to safely lift and carry a minimum of 60 lbs.
