Construction Project Manager - Winnipeg, MB

This client has become a pillar of the Manitoba construction industry over many decades. Due to succession and restructuring, this rare opportunity for a Project Manager in their Underground division has become available. Projects will include street reconstruction, wastewater pumping, trenchless pipe installations, outfalls, pipe jacking, etc.

Experience & Qualifications
  • Civil or municipal construction experience managing projects
  • Engineering, Construction, or Project Management training or certification, or equivalent experience
  • Understanding of underground sewer and water infrastructure
  • Proficiency with Microsoft 365, MS Project, or other scheduling software
  • Estimating software such as Bid2Win, Hard Dollar, InEight, etc.
  • Must be highly organized with strong problem-solving abilities
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Planning, scheduling, and project management experience
  • Self-directed - able to work with minimal supervision
Duties and Responsibilities
  • Support all aspects of construction projects, from start to finish
  • Review specifications and drawings to confirm scope of work, including scheduling and project planning requirements
  • Solicit and review supplier and subcontractor quotes, proposals, and other related documentation
  • Work closely with Site Superintendent and other stakeholders
  • Manage subcontractor and supplier RFQs during the procurement
  • Engage in project meetings, pre-tender meetings, and pre-award meetings
  • Manage budgets, schedules, risks, and client relationships
  • Travel to project sites as needed (not overnight)
