Position Summary

Are you passionate about developing promotional materials, company webpages, facilitates meetings, presentations, and interacting with client’s to effectively deliver IFNA’s message to the public and media? This role requires exceptional written and verbal communication skills and requires in-depth knowledge of marketing trends. The role will report to the Communications Manager.

Responsibilities
  • Coordinate design, production, translation, and publication of communications and graphic materials
  • Assist in creating digital content such as web posts, emails, newsletters, and social media
  • Edit and proofread content for internal and external audiences
  • Ensure content is timely, relevant, accessible, and well-placed
  • Collaborate on planning, posting, and monitoring social media content and digital ads
  • Track and analyze social media metrics and engagement
  • Research best practices in digital communications, email, and analytics
  • Support organization of communication projects, files, databases, and archives
  • Participate in cross-functional teams and special projects
  • Serve as a point of contact for media and public inquiries; maintain contact lists
Requirements
  • Bachelor’s degree or diploma in Marketing, Communications, English, Public Relations, or Journalism. A combination of work experience and education is acceptable.
  • 2 years of experience working in a marketing or communications position (asset)
  • Possess a solid understanding of effective marketing techniques.
  • Must have excellent writing and editing skills.
  • Be able to communicate clearly and effectively.
  • Strong time-management and organization skills.
  • Up-to-date vaccinations or valid medical exemption
  • Clear Criminal Record Check
  • Ability to travel occasionally to meetings and conferences within the region.
  • Ability to travel to IFNA communities via vehicle or small aircraft
  • A good understanding of the culture and the language is a definite asset.
  • Familiarity of Indigenous communities and organizations; experience working for an Indigenous organization.
  • Valid driver’s license G, clear driving abstract, and access to a vehicle required.

Schedule: Regular hours from Monday to Friday with occasional weekends, overtime and on-call availability.
