  • Term 4: February 2, 2026 – March 13, 2026
  • Term 5: March 24, 2026 – May 5, 2026
  • Note: No placements during Spring Break (March 16 – March 20)
Shifts
  • Primarily Monday to Friday
  • Occasional weekend shifts may be required
Rotational Shifts
  • Day: 06:00 – 14:00
  • Evening: 14:00 – 22:00
Total Hours

110–220 hours depending on clinical group size

Position Summary

Clinical Supervisor will collaborate with the program instructor to support PSW students transitioning from classroom theory to practical application in long‑term care settings. Responsibilities include:

  • Conducting mid‑term and final evaluations
  • Assisting students with skills passbook completion
  • Supporting clinical placement assignments
  • Acting as a liaison between staff and students to foster a safe and supportive learning environment
  • Collaborating with employers to secure preceptors who enhance the student learning experience
Qualifications
  • Registered Nurse (RN) or Registered Practical Nurse (RPN) in good standing with the College of Nurses of Ontario (CNO)
  • Minimum 3 years’ experience in one or more of the following: Long‑Term Care, Hospital, Community Agency, Gerontology
  • Experience in supervising, evaluating, and assessing Personal Support Workers (PSWs)
  • Experience supporting clinical placements for PSWs, PNs, or RNs
  • Knowledge of PSW training standards, including those set by the Ministry of Health and Long‑Term Care
