Overview

We are seeking a Client Service Specialist to join our Dobson Toncic team in Oakville.

The Client Service Specialist will provide support and assistance to the Senior Account Executive while also having a new business sales target. This includes prospecting for  closing new client accounts preparing and processing financial services proposals / statements in a timely manner; management of client documentation and client inquiries; and maintaining client files and all related information in secure client database.

Responsibilities
  • Provide confidential support to the Senior Account Executive
  • Prepare Marketing Renewal and New Business Proposals for the Senior Account Executive
  • Act as a main point of contact for clients enquiries; responding to client questions and requests within one business day
  • Meet / exceed new business sales targets
  • Maintain professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops; reviewing professional publications; establishing personal networks; participating in professional societies
  • Contributing to the team by sharing information knowledge and personal strengths; and seeking to understand and build on differing perspectives of others to enhance team efficiency and quality outcomes.
  • Maintain financial services operations by following policies and procedures
  • Process confidential client information and maintaining clients records accurately in database system (EPIC)
  • Prepare special reports as requested by Senior Account Executive
What it takes / Qualifications
  • 5 years of financial services industry experience
  • A Mutual Funds license ( not required but highly desired )
  • Highly developed time management skills with ability to prioritize / manage deadlines
  • The ability to work under pressure and take ownership of work
  • Exceptional communication skills
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office products including excellent knowledge of Excel
All-star candidates will have
  • Mutual Funds License or willingness to obtain
  • Certified Financial Planner (CFP) designation either studying or qualified
  • LLQP (Life License Qualification) in good standing / willingness to obtain
  • Certified Employee Benefit Specialist (CEBS) designation either studying or qualified
