Position Overview

Under the general supervision of the Supervisor, Health Records Processing/Transcription, and while demonstrating a commitment to the Mission, Values and Management Philosophy of St. Boniface Hospital, the Clerk 3 is responsible for retrieving, sorting, and processing discharges; filing health records; and performing other related duties as assigned.

Experience
  • Six (6) months experience in the Health Records Department of a hospital or other qualifying organization.
  • One (1) year related clerical experience.
Education
  • Grade 12, or recognized equivalent.

  • Keyboard Speed – 45 words per minute.
  • Ability to work in a Windows operating environment.
  • Ability to read, write, speak, and understand English.
  • Ability to retain information which is of a confidential nature.
  • Good interpersonal communication skills.
