Your Key Responsibilities
  • Fulfilling health and safety requirements.
  • Providing logistical support for reporting and field work.
  • Data entry/administration.
  • Field work to observe construction.
  • Design and drafting for water, wastewater and transportation infrastructure projects.
Your Capabilities and Credentials
  • An eagerness to learn and desire to take initiative.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Ability to prioritize multiple tasks, responsibilities, projects, and adjust to changing demands.
  • Ability to work in a team environment.
  • Strong attention to detail, organizational, and critical thinking skills.
  • Knowledge and experience with MS Office Suite.
  • Knowledge and experience with AutoCAD is considered an asset.
  • Additional skills such as current First Aid training is an asset but is not required.
  • A valid driver’s license with clean driver’s abstract and access to a vehicle are required.
  • Flexibility to travel, work outdoors, and work beyond regular business hours.
Education and Experience

The successful candidate must be currently enrolled in an accredited university degree program in Civil or Environmental Engineering and be available to work starting in May 2026 for at least a 4‑month work term.

Typical office environment working with computers. Field work may be long days (12 hours), in challenging remote locations, last minute schedule changes, and exposure to the elements including inclement weather. Ability to lift and move items and equipment up to 50 lbs.

Pay Transparency

In compliance with pay transparency laws, pay ranges are provided for positions in locations where required. Please note, the final agreed upon compensation is based on individual education, qualifications, experience, and work location. At Stantec certain roles are bonus eligible. Actual compensation for part‑time roles will be pro‑rated based on the agreed number of working hours per week.
