  • Coach graduates on effective job search strategies and prepare them to interview confidently and professionally in their chosen field.
  • Perform departmental duties as required, including reporting and supporting student/graduate employment initiatives.
  • Build and maintain partnerships with prospective employers, practicum hosts, recruiting agencies, job centers, and public/private sector organizations.
  • Research and recommend agencies or organizations that meet Robertson College’s practicum requirements.
  • Deliver a 100% practicum placement rate and strive to achieve training-related employment outcomes aligned with College expectations.
  • Provide career advice and resources, helping students and graduates identify strengths, overcome employment barriers, and develop job readiness, job search, and long-term career management skills.
Qualifications

  • Entry-level experience in job readiness coaching (recruitment/hiring process, job search, interview preparation, resume/cover letters) and an eager willingness to develop these skills through team training opportunities, and how Robertson College provides these services to students/grads.
  • Passion and ability to promote Robertson graduates to practicum and employer partners.
  • Knowledgeable about the Canadian labour market.
  • Strong relationship-building and networking skills.
  • An understanding of the needs of a diverse student population and how to interact effectively with a multicultural student body.
