Overview

AO1 Administrative Officer 1; AO2 Administrative Officer 2. Regular/full-time. Business, Mining, Trade and Job Creation. Western and Northern Manitoba Service Area, Workforce Training and Employment. Flin Flon MB, The Pas MB. Advertisement Number: 43550. Salary(s): AO1 $55,983.00 - $67,387.00 per year; AO2 $62,281.00 - $76,484.00 per year Plus Remoteness Allowance, if applicable (as of March 22, 2025). Closing Date: October 6, 2025.

Conditions of Employment
  • Must be legally entitled to work in Canada
  • Must produce and maintain a satisfactory Criminal Record Check
  • Must have or be willing to obtain a Valid Manitoba Class 5 Driver's Licence within one year of hire date
  • Must be able to travel to remote communities utilizing various methods of transportation including but not limited to small plane, ferry, ice roads, etc.
  • Must be able to travel including evenings and overnight stay as required

  • Experience with Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Outlook, Word) or similar tools
Desired
  • Working toward obtaining, or completion of, education at the post-secondary level. This may include a degree, diploma or certificate in a related field such as Career Development Practitioner Certificate, Business Administration, Counselling, and/or Social Sciences. Other education/training and relevant client service experience may be considered
Duties

Career Development Consultant: The Career Development Consultant is responsible for assessing client’s prior learning, skills and interests related to labour market needs and training opportunities. They support the clients to develop informed, appropriate and attainable employment and training goals, formulate an action plan, negotiate and case and financial manage supports while attending approved training. Labour Market Service Advisor: The Labour Market Service Advisor (LMSA) is the first point of contact for information and assistance on programs and services offered through the Manitoba Jobs and Skills Development Centres. The LMSA conducts initial assessments for a diverse group of clients to determine needs and eligibility and makes referrals to specialized services and community resources. The LMSA is responsible for assisting job seekers by providing information on job search techniques, employment and training programs, learning resources and the labour market. The LMSA is responsible for client case and financial management across a number of system applications.
