Captain Server Fairmont Jasper AB Park Lodge Food & Beverage

Fairmont Jasper Park Lodge, 1 Old Lodge Rd, Jasper, AB T0E 1E0, is seeking a Captain Server. The starting rate of pay is $18.77/hr CAD.

As a Captain Server with Fairmont Jasper Park Lodge, you will be an ambassador for the exceptional service and cuisine that are hallmarks of our dining experience. Your job duties include:

• Taking an active role in the training and development of new and existing staff
• Assisting the management team to develop action plans to improve outlet performance
• HAVING full knowledge of all menu items, garnishes, contents, and preparation methods
• HAVING full knowledge of beverage lists and promotions
• Preparing and serving cocktails and other beverages on a daily basis
• Assisting and leading the function team in setting up and tearing down function spaces
• Busing and re-setting tables
• Performing opening, cleaning, and closing duties
• Other duties as assigned

Qualifications for this role include:

• Minimum 1 year of serving experience required (must include at least 6 months of a la carte service)
• Previous leadership experience required
• Valid Alberta driver’s license required
• Excellent knowledge of wine, cocktails, and beer required
• Pro Serve certification required
• Banquets experience preferred
• Micros POS experience an asset

Visa Requirements: Must be legally eligible to work in Canada. The hotel is unable to assist candidates in obtaining Canadian work authorization.
