Job description

Dana is a global leader in the supply of highly engineered driveline, sealing, and thermal-management technologies that improve the efficiency and performance of vehicles with both conventional and alternative-energy powertrains. Serving three primary markets – passenger vehicle, commercial truck, and off-highway equipment – Dana provides the world's original-equipment manufacturers and the aftermarket with local product and service support through a network of nearly 100 engineering, manufacturing, and distribution facilities.

JOB SUMMARY:

Primary responsibilities are to create daily and weekly production schedules, making recommendations about where improvements might be made. Ensure that company objectives are achieved and that all deadlines are met. Multitask and provide quick responses to production problems. As Required, flex resources to ensure that employees and materials are utilized most effectively.

Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Create and maintain detailed manufacturing build schedule
  • Create and maintain production orders
  • Merge partial or complete manufacturing orders
  • Back-flush complete or partially completed manufacturing orders
  • Adjust material inventory levels based on actual production yield
  • Transfer completed items directly to the finished goods inventory
  • Use Bills of Material with Routing Details through Work Centers to guide shop floor operations
  • Use workers and resources in the most effective manner
  • Provide quick responses to production issues
  • Identify problems and help improve processes
  • Use software to generate reports and schedules
  • Ensure that company deadlines are met
