The Business Development Associate contributes to the overall success of MD Wealth in Canada ensuring specific individual goals, plans, initiatives are executed / delivered in support of the team’s business strategies and objectives. Ensures all activities conducted are in compliance with governing regulations, internal policies and procedures. You will assist MD clients and their families in achieving their personal financial goals.

Is this role right for you? In this role, you will:

Develop and nurture relationships with Scotiabank, P&A partners, physician recruiters, centers of influence (COI’s), medical clinics and key stakeholders to expand market reach and generate new client opportunities

Manage and grow a robust pipeline of physician prospects through targeted outreach, educational initiatives and personalized engagement strategies

Proactive opportunity management (analysis, prioritization and follow up)

Represent the organization at conferences, sponsorships, seminars and networking events to promote the value proposition and foster brand awareness

Sales Practices standards (lead qualification, lead follow up and conversion)

Identify and develop new opportunities to promote MD and Scotia products and services

Proactively engage physician prospects through discussions to understand their financial needs and align them with tailored solutions

Deliver high-impact presentations to physician groups, business partners and internal stakeholders showcasing specialized offerings

Utilize data insights to assess prospect engagement levels and optimize outreach efforts

Strengthen collaboration with financial consultants and regional managers to convert physician prospects into long-term clients

Proactively manage and expand a defined territory identifying key opportunities for business development

Foster and coordinate connections between prospects and advisors to ensure an exceptional client experience
Build a strong presence within the physician communities through regular engagement, social media activity and networking with advisors

Maintain a deep understanding of market conditions and competitive advantages to drive strategic initiative

Act as a key resource for internal teams providing coaching and insights on best practices for physician engagement

Educate and support partners and stakeholders through training sessions, presentations and strategic discussions

Champion innovation by continuously refining engagement strategies, leveraging technology, and identifying new business development opportunities

Do you have the skills that will enable you to succeed in this role? - We'd love to work with you if you have:

Post-secondary education and business marketing or related field
Minimum of 4 years of experience in business development sales or client engagement
Experience in the wealth management or financial services industry is an asset
Proven experience in marketing, negotiation, and public speaking
Working knowledge of RRSP’s, RRIF’s and RESP’s, mutual funds and other investment products is preferred
