Join our Finance Assurance & Operations team as a Business Consultant and drive exceptional financial performance through strategic accounts receivable management. In this critical leadership role, you'll oversee our team's resolution of high-risk, delinquent accounts while building collaborative partnerships across diverse stakeholder groups. We're seeking a results-driven professional who thrives on transforming challenging financial situations into successful outcomes.
What you’ll do
Facilitate monthly Risk Review meetings for AR portfolios to ensure timely risk assessment and account resolution
Report on the collections progress of high-risk accounts to senior leaders in Finance, Controller, and Sales
Drive Billing Adjustment Request follow-up with approvers and billing teams for timely processing
Support AR team on dispute resolution and escalate to business partners, senior managers to expedite payment collection
Manage disputed account data by closing tickets and updating amounts to ensure accurate financial reporting
Generate AR reports for large customers for Sales and support teams to monitor overdue accounts
Collaborate with Cisco Systems Capital on leasing support for accurate billing and vendor relationship management
Maintain TELUS Police Account reporting with Finance Teams for annual accounting
Provide AR data for auditor queries to support compliance
Backup support for Credit Assessment Manager approvals and BID approvals
Engage in strategic initiatives with cross-functional teams for operational excellence
What you bring
5-7 years in corporate finance, accounting, or business operations with AR/collections experience
Proven escalation management and dispute resolution expertise with strong problem-solving skills
Business ownership mindset with accountability and results-driven approach
Excellent cross-functional collaboration and communication skills, including senior leadership presentation capabilities
Advanced proficiency in Excel/Google Sheets for comprehensive AR analysis and reporting
Detail-oriented with strong focus on data integrity, compliance, and audit support
Great-to-haves
Experience with TELUS Communications and TELUS Health billing and customer management systems (AX, CBSS, CES, CORE, Knowbility/Smart Desktop, Kenan, SAP, SIMS, Salesforce)
Experience in process improvement and documentation
Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or related field
Note: This is a remote opportunity, with the flexibility to work anywhere within Canada.
