Job summary

A government organization in British Columbia is seeking a financial officer to manage payroll, maintain financial records, and reconcile accounts. The ideal candidate will have a college diploma or equivalent experience and at least 2 years of experience in a similar role. This position requires on-site work with no remote options available.

Qualifications

  • 2 years to less than 3 years of experience required.

Responsibilities

  • Calculate and prepare cheques for payroll.
  • Calculate fixed assets and depreciation.
  • Keep financial records and establish various accounts.
  • Maintain general ledgers and financial statements.
  • Post journal entries.
  • Prepare statistical, financial and accounting reports.
  • Prepare trial balance of books.
  • Reconcile accounts.
