What You’ll Be Doing
  • As the Branch Administrator, you will be part of the CIBC Wood Gundy team and will be accountable for effectively managing all administrative aspects of branch operations. This includes :
  • Hiring, management and supervision of non-commissioned branch staff
  • Operational and administrative support to the branch and Investment Advisors
  • Oversight of transactional banking functions
  • Consistent demonstration of high levels of internal and external client service
  • Adherence to compliance and audit requirements
  • Maintenance of branch profitability
How You’ll Succeed
  • People Management – Oversee hiring, training, scheduling, supervision and performance management of all support staff. Facilitate a performance-oriented culture and maintain strong employee relations with fair and consistent communication.
  • Operations / Administration – Manage day-to-day branch operations and administration, including office equipment and supplies, coordination of office functions and events, budget monitoring, and profitability. Process accounts payable for Branch Manager approval and review branch revenue / expense summaries.
  • Sales Support & Customer Service – Assist Investment Advisor duties such as processing buy / sell orders, writing trade tickets, coordinating broker communications, and maintaining customer service standards across Wood Gundy.
Who You Are
  • You’re a certified professional with the Canadian Securities Course (CSC) and Conduct & Practices Handbook (CPH) to obtain Investment Representative (IR) licensing.
  • You have experience in the financial services brokerage industry with strong organizational and administrative skills in a fast-paced setting.
  • You’re passionate about people with strong management and interpersonal skills to coach staff in a competitive environment.
  • You are a strong communicator with problem-solving abilities to resolve issues and conflicts.
  • You value trust, teamwork and accountability and bring your authentic self to work.
