The Faculty of Health & Life Sciences (FHLS) prepares graduates for dynamic careers in health, emergency, and life‑science disciplines. The Emergency & Specialized Care cluster includes paramedicine, fire services, emergency telecommunications, funeral services, and bioscience programming. The bioscience team operates Ontario’s only college cadaver laboratory, supporting advanced learning in anatomy and physiology for students across multiple programs. Faculty and staff work collaboratively to deliver hands‑on education that integrates applied research, simulation, and lab‑based discovery learning.
Reporting to the Associate Dean, the Bioscience Laboratory Specialist supports the operation of Humber’s bioscience laboratories and tutorials. The specialist facilitates lab and tutorial sessions in anatomy and physiology, performs cadaver dissection and maintenance, and ensures that laboratory spaces and materials are safe, organized, and aligned with curricular requirements. This position also mentors co‑op students and supports scholarship of teaching and learning initiatives within the faculty.
