Job summary

A regional health authority in Canada is seeking a qualified Biomedical Engineering Technologist to inspect, test, and maintain biomedical equipment in areas such as Radiology and Anaesthesia. The ideal candidate will have a degree in Biomedical Engineering Technology and strong abilities in communication and equipment operation. Responsibilities include ongoing maintenance and technical support to ensure patient safety. A valid Class 5 vehicle license is required.

Qualifications

• Graduation from a recognized program in Biomedical Engineering Technology required.
• Valid Class 5 vehicle license.

Responsibilities

• Inspects, tests, and maintains biomedical and other equipment.
• Performs difficult repairs in designated areas of the hospital.
• Carries out acceptance tests for new biomedical equipment.
