Position Summary: At Huronia, we rely on a meticulous financial system to drive our business forward. The Billing Coordinator reports to the General Accountant and will oversee the billing functions of the company. The Billing Coordinator will ensure that all billing/invoicing is completed as per the policies and procedures of the Company.

Responsibilities:

  • Liaise with staff at all levels and company locations
  • Ensure that all company billing policies and procedures are implemented and followed as directed by the General Accountant
  • Assist in the creation and enforcement of company policies and procedures as directed by the General Accountant
  • Ensure that financial cut-offs are met each month and that financial information is reported accurately and on a timely basis
  • Import jobs daily from sales program into accounting program
  • Create customer accounts, maintain customer data, and scan/upload signed agreements and other documentation
  • Generate customer invoices for completed jobs and service tickets
  • Ensure accurate maintenance of recurring services for residential and commercial customers for successful monthly cycle billing
  • Review open jobs and service tickets each month and resolve any issues preventing the closure of the jobs and service tickets
  • Assist with the Accounts Receivable telephone queue by answering inquiries relating to payment and contact information updates
  • Assist with front desk reception duties for walk-in customers
  • Other related duties and special projects as directed by the General Accountant

Qualifications:

  • 5+ years experience in a similar accounting position, or equivalent education and experience combined
  • Demonstrates attention to detail and accuracy
  • Excellent knowledge of accounting policies and practices
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office
  • Proficiency in ERP and accounting information systems
  • Working knowledge of Sedona is an asset
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Proven ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines
  • Must be able to work as part of a team and independently
  • Clear criminal record check
