Qualifications

  • 3–5 years of technical service experience required.
  • Valid provincial gas fitter license (Tag 1 or Tag 2) is an asset.

Job description
Bilingual Field Service Technician

Full-time, Permanent
Location: Remote – Ottawa, ON (Candidates can live in Ottawa or up to 45 mins–1 hour away, including Gatineau, QC)
Hours: Mon–Fri, 8:00 AM – 4:00 PM + Overtime – depends they can be on call: time and half weekends every 6 weeks
Base Salary: $24 – $40.21/hour – this includes premiums, increase after 3 months
Overtime paid daily after 8 hours (1.5x for first 4 OT hours, 2x after that)

Qualifications
  • Fluently Bilingual (French & English) – spoken & written
  • DEP in Electromechanics – mandatory
  • College diploma in Mechanical, Electrical or Electronic studies
  • 3–5 years of technical service experience
  • Valid provincial gas fitter license – Tag 1 or Tag 2 (asset) – or willing to take course (client pays)
  • Excellent driving record
  • Willingness and ability to travel for training – on the road then going home
  • Strong communication for service‑related situations
Physical Requirements
  • Lifting up to 50 lbs. with or without assistance
  • Climbing up to 8 ft. with ladder
  • Extensive walking 4–7 km/day
  • Kneeling, squatting, bending, pushing/pulling
  • Exposure to noise, heat, cold, slippery, wet conditions
  • OT and On‑Call Duty as required
