Overview

HealthEMe is currently seeking an individual who is aware of the healthcare industry and is looking to further their career in sales and business development from our Halifax headquarters location.

The successful candidate would be organizing our business development trade show offerings, developing business proposals and funding applications, managing relationships with government organizations, as well as seeking out and pursuing leads in the healthcare, insurance, academia and pharmaceutical industries globally.

Responsibilities
  • General sales and business development support which includes: managing the planning and logistics for external trade shows and related events, and supporting the business process and storage of documentation for various proposals and applications through the corporate CRM system.
  • RFP, RFQ, and RFI coordination and support. Applications for Proposals/ Quotes/Information include varying combinations of a project and/or business focus depending on the nature of the request. Working with the team to review documentation requirements, write drafts, and compute cost benefit analysis/project benefits that may include budgets or project plans.
  • Government agency liaison with our current partnerships, and develop new partnerships for business expansion, research & development, capital investment, and hiring initiatives.
  • Funding application coordination and support - Research online for funding opportunities throughout various levels of government (local, provincial, federal, and international), and put together technical product information to help develop funding proposals.
  • Creation of marketing documents – Certain geographical markets require marketing assets to be developed that are tailored to address the specific requirements of some clients
  • Creation of specification documents – Create and define the product features of our technology offerings, in a format that assists customers write RFPs, RFQs, and RFIs.
  • Technical and digital marketing content creation which may include blog writing, marketing support, or systems development that help broaden the organization’s outreach in various markets
Qualifications
  • A Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in Business/Administration, Health Informatics, Health Administration, or Journalism is required.
  • Experience in healthcare or health tech sector is an asset
  • Experience with Canadian Federal or Provincial GovernmentOrganizations that provide strategic funding opportunities in green technology is considered an asset (ACOA, SDTC, EDC, Trade Commissioner Services)
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal – previous experience in business case writing, proposal writing, or marketing plans is preferred
  • Strong analytical and decision-making skills: ability to work with limited information, under pressure and with tight timelines
  • Required Internet navigation and proven research capabilities.
  • Required Intermediate knowledge of Microsoft Office 365 Products such as Teams, Word, Excel (Data Modeling), Power Point, Outlook, SharePoint, and OneNote.
  • Skills with project management/planning software or understanding of financial accounting is considered an asset.
  • Additional language skills are considered an asset. Please mention which language(s) in your cover letter, but classify your level of reading, writing, and speaking proficiency for each language in your resume.
