Job summary

We are currently looking for an AVP, Sales Development - West. In this role, you will be integral in the ongoing training and development of CC&L Private Capital’s Wealth Advisors, with a focus on our offices in Western Canada. This role reports directly to the Managing Director (MD) of Sales and will focus on supporting growth across our team of Advisors.

What You Will Do:
  • Partner with Advisors to develop tailored business plans that align individual goals and sales objectives.
  • Design and execute individualized coaching plans to enhance Advisor effectiveness across experience levels—supporting new hires, emerging talent, and top performers.
  • Conduct recurring performance reviews with Advisors in Western offices to identify opportunities and support long term development.
  • Maintain progress reports on sales team members and assist the Managing Director in the execution of strategies that drive further sales development.
  • Work with the Managing Director of Sales on the identification of KPIs for accurate measurement of sales team results and performance.
  • Proactively identify opportunities to enhance sales and improve both internal and external resources.
  • Work collaboratively with the MD and AVP, of the East to refine our national Advisor onboarding program and sales training initiatives.
  • Contribute to the continuous improvement of internal systems and processes that enable scalable and sustainable business growth.
  • Support deployment of internal systems and adoption by the sales team.
Representing our Brand and Culture:
  • Lead and facilitate both National and Regional Sales Meetings to drive alignment and support continued growth.
  • Support the ongoing evolution of the firm’s sales culture, fostering a collaborative, performance-driven, and client-focused environment.
  • Drive engagement through recognition programs, leaderboards, and performance highlights that celebrate advisor success and cultural contributions.
  • Play a key role in Advisor recruitment, with an ability to leverage existing networks to identify prospective Advisors.
  • Represent the firm at both internal and external industry events.
What You Bring:
  • Minimum 5+ years of progressive experience in sales leadership, development, or coaching role within financial services / wealth management.
  • Proven ability to coach, mentor, and motivate a high-performing sales force in a relationship-driven business.
  • Exceptional facilitation and communication skills; confident leading meetings, presentations, and training sessions across varying seniority levels.
  • Highly motivated, committed, self-starter who can prioritize and adapt in a complex, fast paced and changing environment.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Proven ability to exercise discretion and good judgment, acknowledging the need to balance improvement opportunities and the needs of the business.
  • Ability to travel as required.
  • Completion of industry related certifications/designations is an asset.
