  • Serve as the Architect of Record, providing professional seal/stamp on drawings and ensuring regulatory compliance.
  • Lead and coach multidisciplinary technical architects.
  • Contribute to establishment of governance for design standards, quality assurance and risk management and ensure they are followed.
  • Drive adoption of advanced technologies (BIM, digital twins, modular systems).
  • Champion continuous improvement and standardisation of architectural practices.
  • Act as primary liaison with external consultants, regulatory bodies, and industry associations.
  • Oversee permitting and compliance processes at a corporate level.
  • Ensure seamless integration of architectural, structural and MEP systems within product designs.
  • Collaborate with Design, R&D and Manufacturing teams to maintain alignment with project goals and timelines.
  • Review and approve architectural and engineering drawings for accuracy, constructability and compliance.
  • Apply building codes (Part 3 & Part 9) and internal quality standards to all deliverables.
  • Drive continuous improvement in design processes, leveraging BIM and advanced modelling tools (Revit, AutoCAD).
  • Support development of “The Rule Book” for standardised design practices across PDT.
  • Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
  • Licensed Architect in Ontario (OAA) with authority to stamp drawings.
  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Architecture.
  • 10+ years of progressive experience in architecture or engineering leadership roles, ideally in residential or modular construction.
  • Proven track record in managing large, complex projects and multidisciplinary teams.
  • Strong understanding of building science, structural systems and MEP integration.
  • Expertise in AutoCAD, Revit, BIM workflows and building codes.
  • Strong business acumen and communication skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast‑paced environment.
Bonus points
  • Experience with advanced manufacturing or modular building systems.
  • Strategic thinker with ability to balance design excellence and operational efficiency.
  • Influential leader with a collaborative and innovative mindset.
