Job description

We are seeking an Architectural Technologist, for a full-time position in Moncton, NB.

The selected candidate will possess proficiency with AutoCAD Architecture.

Overview:

In this position you will apply your technical knowledge to evaluate existing buildings and design solutions for the complex and unique problems of our clients. Projects will include a mix of residential, multi-family, and commercial projects, with an emphasis on repair of damage from fire, wind, flood, and impacts, as well as adaptive reuse of older buildings, and enhancements to existing facilities to accommodate changes in use and implementation of equipment and machinery. You must be able to manage several projects simultaneously and be detail orientated. Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written are essential.

Responsibilities:

  • Preparation of CAD drawings
  • Collecting field data required for the preparation of repair specifications, drawings and tendering
  • Assisting in the preparation of technical specifications for exterior envelope remediation projects
  • Reviewing shop drawings
  • Coordinating with engineers for peer reviews and design guidance
  • Ensuring work area is maintained in a clean and orderly manner and acts in compliance with the company safety policy
  • Perform other related duties as required or assigned by direct manager and/or other department managers

Requirements & Qualifications

  • Post-secondary diploma from an Architectural Technology (or related) program
  • Exceptional attention to detail, specifically in accuracy of calculations and completeness of data collection and notation
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • French and English (verbal / written) is a PLUS.
  • Must have a valid driver's license and access to a vehicle
  • Willingness to be flexible and adaptable to changing priorities
  • Self-motivating and multi-tasking ability
  • Able to work individually and in a team setting
  • 3 to 5 years of similar experience in a similar capacity, including large flat roof projects; must be in the field 70-80% of the time.

The Salary Range for this position is $55,000.00 - $65,000.00 and is dependent on education, experience, location and certifications/licensure.
