Qualifications

  • Completion of Grade 12 certificate required.

Role Overview

Reporting to a Group Leader, we are looking for an Instrument Mechanic Apprentice who is eager to learn and develop their skillset. In this role, you will work under the supervision of a journeyman who will instruct you, and give you tasks to complete each day that center around your development needs. This will include inspecting, maintaining, repairing of industrial equipment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Be a courageous safety leader, adhere to and sponsor safety and environmental rules and procedures
  • Install, calibrate, repair and maintain field instrumentation and final control elements
  • Perform in a team-oriented environment of maintenance peers
Qualifications
  • Completion of Grade 12 (please submit a copy of certificate to application)
  • Pre-apprentice as Instrument Mechanic is required at a minimum
  • Knowledge of Foxboro and ABB Systems would be considered an asset
  • Knowledge of Modicon PLC’s and Wonderware HMI’s considered an asset
  • WHIMIS certification
  • Experience in an industrial environment
  • Valid driver’s license
  • Knowledge of and ability to safely us basic hand tools
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills

Pay Range: $36.56-$46.03 /hr

The actual amount offered is determined based on the successful candidate’s relevant experience, skills, and competencies and considers internal equity.
