Overview

Air Canada is looking for an experienced and dynamic technical Analyst Application Development & Maintenance (Temporary) focused on providing IT support to the Air Canada’s Product distribution branch focusing on the maintenance and development of our New Capability Distribution (NDC) solution. This role requires collaboration with a diverse internal workforce and extended third party service providers. This is a unique opportunity to work with state-of-the-art technologies and to contribute to the evolution of Air Canada’s NDC solution for its partners, a recognition program for corporate customers as well as optimize existing functionality. This position will report to the IT Manager responsible for the NDC portal and the Air Canada B2B Agent portal.

Responsibilities
  • Provide IT support to Air Canada’s Product distribution branch focusing on the maintenance and development of the NDC solution.
  • Collaborate with internal teams and extended third party service providers.
  • Contribute to the evolution and optimization of the NDC portal and related Air Canada B2B Agent portal.
Qualifications
  • At least 3 years of IT technology or operations experience in a large company, preferably in the Transportation / Airline domain.
  • A relevant university degree / technical certification, and / or relevant experience commensurate to the role.
  • Experience working with NDC (New Distribution Capability) APIs and schemas in an airline distribution environment.
  • Familiarity with airline offer and order management standards as defined by IATA NDC implementations.
  • Understanding of ITIL, SDLC, Agile methodologies, Jira, and cybersecurity risk management frameworks.
  • Knowledge of APIs and tools like SOAP UI / Postman is a must. Knowledge of Mulesoft is an added advantage.
  • Exceptional analytical, organizational and communication skills; self-motivated and independent.
  • Ability to multi-task and work under pressure against tight deadlines and changing priorities; a team player able to work with diverse groups.
  • Knowledge of User Acceptance Testing, Quality Assurance testing, and impact assessments skills.
  • Flexibility to work extended hours when required.
  • Punctuality and dependability to support overall team success in a fast-paced environment.
