Job description

Almosthome Childcare/Preschool Ltd is hiring F/T Infants’ Daycare Workers.

Terms of employment: Full-time, Permanent

Wage: $24.00~$26.00/hour (depending on experience)

Number of Positions: 2

Benefits: Extended Healthcare (after 3 months of employment)

Job Duties:
  1. Assess the children’s development in order to prepare a learning plan
  2. Develop and implement child-care programs that support and promote the physical, cognitive, emotional and social development of children
  3. Engage children in activities by telling stories, teaching songs and preparing crafts
  4. Attend staff meetings to discuss progress and problems of children
  5. Plan and maintain an environment that protects the health, security and well-being of children
  6. Bathe, diaper and feed infants and toddlers
  7. Lead activities by telling or reading stories, teaching songs and taking children to local points of interest
  8. Guide and assist children in the development of proper eating, dressing and toilet habits
  9. Observe children for signs of potential learning or behavioural problems and prepare reports for parents, guardians or supervisor
Job Requirements:
  1. Experience: Experience is an asset
  2. Education: College Certificate or diploma in early childhood education is required
  3. Certificates: First Aid Certificate, CPR Certificate, E.C.E. Certificate, and IT Certificate
