Job summary

A leading aerospace firm is seeking an Advisor for Public Relations and Communications in Dorval, Canada. The successful candidate will coordinate activations with public relations agencies and manage supplier relationships to support the company's global communications strategy. Applicants should have a bachelor’s degree in Communications or a related field along with at least five years of relevant experience in the industry, preferably in media relations. Proficiency in both English and French is essential.

Qualifications

What are your contributions to the team?

In your role, you will:

  • Coordinate activations with international public relations agencies and support global communications strategies to ensure Bombardier’s brand presence is strong and consistent across all markets.
  • Manage suppliers and external partners, including sourcing, performance tracking, budget and billing, to ensure timely delivery of services and alignment with Bombardier’s standards and objectives.
  • Prepare briefing documents and manage relationships with key agencies and suppliers to support seamless execution of communications initiatives.
  • Create communications documents, including press releases, key messages, stakeholder messaging and speeches that help the company, and its leaders, disseminate Bombardier’s brand values and industry leadership.
  • Provide administrative support with key suppliers, including scheduling, budget tracking, and reporting.
  • Collaborate with marketing, sales, and other business functions to ensure cohesive communication efforts.
  • Proactively build relationships with international media, monitor and analyze coverage, and distribute reports to stakeholders as required.
  • Respond to media requests and establish positive relationships with multiple and varied stakeholders to support an all-inclusive communications approach.
  • Support the adherence to corporate organizational culture, strategies and procedures to connect to the company’s objectives and priorities.
How to thrive in this role?
  • You hold a bachelor’s degree in Communications/Journalism/Public Relations or a related discipline
  • You have at least five (5) years of experience in corporate communications, public relations or related discipline with experience in media relations preferred (experience with external suppliers or agencies required)
  • You have excellent spoken and written communications skills in English and French
  • You have demonstrated initiative as well as excellent project management skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities
  • You have a proven ability to work calmly in a fast-paced, complex environment and adapt to changing stakeholder requirements, ambiguous situations or crises with poise
  • You can easily overcome obstacles/problems and achieve targets
  • You can work independently or remotely collaborate in a team setting, including virtual teams
  • You have a successful track record working in a corporate environment with senior executives
  • You have corporate communications experience working within production-focused environments. Knowledge of the aerospace industry or other technically driven, complex industries an asset
  • You have the ability to build and maintain relationships while influencing peers
  • You possess Microsoft Office and web skills
