Job summary

An established local service organization in British Columbia is seeking a part-time administrative professional. The successful applicant will work Tuesdays and additional hours as needed to support commission meetings and liaise with staff. Candidates should possess strong customer service and computer skills, along with a high school diploma or GED. This position offers a normal rate of $28.65/hr, with potential for additional hours and pay based on experience.

Qualifications

  • Related work experience in customer service, reception, or an administrative role.
  • Experience with word processing and spreadsheets.

Responsibilities

  • Work part-time with office hours of 8 am to 12 pm on Tuesdays.
  • Support commission meetings once per month for 4 to 5 hours.
  • Liaise with Commissioners and staff outside of regular hours.

Duties

The successful applicant will work part-time with office hours of 8 am to 12 pm on Tuesdays (or an alternate mutually agreed-upon day) and another 4 to 5 hours once per month to support commission meetings. Additional time may be added on an as and when needed basis to support and/or provide support for other members of the team or to liaise with Commissioners, the public, and RDCK staff outside of regular office hours. The normal rate for this position is $28.65/hr with a range from $27.40/hr to $31.14/hr commensurate with experience.
