Reporting to the Manager of Health Information Services, and functioning as a key member supporting the daily operations of the department, the Administrative Assistant provides confidential administrative support to the Western Zone Manager as well as working groups and/or committees. The Administrative Assistant will exhibit sound professional judgement and initiative while working within the framework of the site, Health Information Services and the organization as a whole.
The Administrative Assistant ensures that the principles and practices that guide NSH such as the vision, mission, values, expected behaviours, the leadership philosophy, organizational health, population health, ethics, safety, quality, partnerships and interprofessional collaboration are integrated within the support that is provided by the work that they do and through the messages they deliver.
We would love to hear from you if you have the following:
• Graduate of a recognized office administration program/business program/secretarial program.
• Minimum of three years of administrative experience OR a combination of equivalent education, training, and experience.
• Advanced working knowledge of computers required, including Windows, Word, Excel, Power Point, Outlook and Database Programs.
• High degree of initiative, diligence, attention to detail and self-discipline/focus required.
• Demonstrated ability to work independently with minimal supervision required.
• Proven team player with excellent communication and interpersonal skills required.
• Demonstrated ability to respectfully work with a variety of inter-professional team members required.
• Excellent communication, interpersonal, prioritizing and organizational skills.
• Competencies in other languages an asset, French preferred.

$21.58 - $26.98 Hourly
