A community-focused co-op in Barrie, Ontario is offering full-time summer positions for post-secondary students. Available roles include Administrative Assistant, Receptionist, and Data Specialist, all requiring skills in collaboration and communication. Positions are funded by the Government of Canada and follow a hybrid work model, combining remote and in-person tasks. Applicants aged 15-30 must be legally entitled to work in Canada.
The Admin team provides daily administrative support for summer programming and prepares for Fall/Winter tasks. Working in small groups and across departments, youth in these roles develop confidence and master skills used in writing, analysis, and workplace participation. Our waterfall mentorship model encourages you to help others learn what you are already an expert in, while also learning from others. These roles are progressive over the summer, offering scope and responsibility based on your willingness and ability. It's a great way to 'level up' in a team setting where your voice and opinions make a real difference.
Full-time summer employment contracts range from 8 to 16 weeks, from May through September. Post-secondary students are encouraged to apply as part of their program requirements for co-op or work placements. Contracts are funded by the Government of Canada and offered at the Ontario minimum wage.
These positions follow a hybrid work structure, combining remote work and in-person work at the office or meet-up locations, depending on the tasks and projects. In-person work at the office/studio or local meet-up locations is required for tasks requiring high collaboration or supervision. Training and workshops may be online or in-person.

Typical work hours are 35 hours per week, with rotational coverage for evenings and weekends. The Co-op seeks individuals who enjoy collaboration, creativity, and engaging with artists and the community. Some evenings and weekends are scheduled.
