A leading bank in the Americas is seeking an Accounting Officer for a 12-month term position in Toronto, Ontario. The successful candidate will be responsible for processing trade correction requests and conducting reconciliations. Responsibilities

  • Process all trade correction requests from branches or internal departments.
  • Identify and execute all Mutual Fund trade corrections.
  • Prepare and allocate profit and loss from processing trade corrections.
  • Conduct daily and monthly reconciliations for the error account.
  • Handle daily inquiries from Advisors and Mutual Fund Representatives.

Role Summary

The Accounting Officer, Trade Corrections is responsible for processing all trade correction requests from branches or internal departments. This includes executing the covering transactions and inputting the balancing bookkeeping entries.

This is a 12 Month term position.

Is this role right for you?
  • Identify and execute all Mutual Fund trade corrections with maximum risk exposure for priority processing
  • Prepare and allocate all profit and loss generated from processing trade corrections
  • Daily and monthly reconciliation/reporting for the error account
  • Deal with daily inquiries by phone and/or written communication from Advisors and Mutual Fund Representatives
  • Complete sundry duties as assigned
Do you have the skills that will enable you to succeed in this role?
  • Minimum post-secondary education
  • Industry experience, specifically relating to Mutual Funds is preferred
  • Strong PC and keyboarding skills
  • Strong knowledge of Excel formulas and macros
  • A high degree of client focus, and a strong client service orientation
  • Basic practical accounting skills
  • Strong organizational skills
  • Excellent time management and accuracy skills to complete tasks within strict deadlines
  • Flexibility to adapt to a wide variety of tasks and functions
