Job description

Our client, located in Windsor, ON, has an immediate opportunity:

Duties and Responsibilities:
  1. Review and process weekly payroll, Union Dues/RRSP, post Payroll GL, annual T4/T4(A) processing;
  2. Oversee AP to process A/P invoices and payments for weekly cheque run;
  3. Oversee AR to process A/R invoices and ensure payments are collected within customers’ terms;
  4. Ensure compliance with government remittances including payroll taxes, EHT, WSIB, HST, and all other statutory filings;
  5. Perform and ensure monthly reconciliation of all general ledger accounts to ensure financial accounts are fairly presented and accurate, errors are corrected, appropriate financial recoveries have been made, and issues are resolved and/or escalated;
  6. Work closely with the owners to review and analyze monthly financial reports;
  7. Prepare backup schedules and supporting documents for corporate interim and year-end financial statements;
  8. Manage the daily duties of accounting staff, providing training and support;
  9. Special projects as requested by senior management;
  10. Process ad-hoc payments as required;
Qualifications:
  • Accounting Degree/Diploma/Certificate and Accounting Designation
  • Background in manufacturing/injection molding is an asset
  • Minimum of 5 years of accounting and bookkeeping experience
