Are you detail-oriented, organized, and ready to support a busy finance department? Muskoka Lumber, a trusted supplier in the region, is looking for a motivated Accounting Clerk/Assistant to join our Port Carling location.
In this role, your accuracy and efficiency with numbers, records, and financial systems will help keep our operations running smoothly. From processing invoices to supporting month-end, you’ll play an essential part in maintaining the financial health of our growing company.
Responsibilities
- Assist with accounts payable and receivable processes
- Prepare and process invoices, receipts, and payments
- Support month-end and year-end closing procedures
- Perform data entry tasks with a high degree of accuracy
- Conduct account reconciliations to ensure accuracy of records
- Communicate with vendors, customers, and internal teams to resolve inquiries
- Assist with inventory counts and maintain organized files for easy retrieval
- Utilize different accounting systems/platforms to complete daily tasks
- Provide general administrative support to the accounting team
- Handle confidential financial information with professionalism and discretion
What You Bring
- 1–3 years of experience in accounting, bookkeeping, or a related role
- Completion of a Business Administration – Accounting diploma or equivalent education
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (especially Excel); Microsoft Dynamics experience is an asset
- Strong numerical accuracy and attention to detail
- Ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced setting
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Professional, team-oriented attitude with a willingness to learn and grow
