Key Responsibilities

As the Accounting Clerk, you will play a key role in supporting the finance function by ensuring accurate, timely processing of transactions and clear communication across departments. Your responsibilities will include:

Accounts Payable:

  • Process and verify vendor invoices, ensuring accuracy and proper approvals.
  • Match invoices to purchase orders and receiving documents, resolving discrepancies as needed.

Accounts Receivable:

  • Prepare and issue customer invoices and statements in a timely manner.
  • Apply customer payments, monitor outstanding balances, and assist with collections in a professional and respectful manner.

General Accounting & Administration:

  • Maintain accurate vendor and customer records within the accounting system.
  • Communicate with internal teams, vendors, and customers to address billing or payment inquiries.
  • Assist with month‑end close activities and support general accounting tasks as required.
Qualifications

To succeed in this role, candidates should demonstrate the following:

Education & Experience:

  • Post‑secondary education in Accounting, Finance, or Business Administration.
  • 3+ years of experience in an accounting clerk, Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, or similar role.

Technical Skills:

  • Experience working with accounting or ERP systems and strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
  • Comfortable handling high‑volume transactions with accuracy and efficiency.

  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Strong attention to detail and a high level of organization.
  • A reliable, proactive work ethic with the ability to manage priorities and meet deadlines.
