Responsibilities
- Financial Statement Analysis: Reviewing balance sheets, income statements, cash flows, and other financial statements to assess the financial health of the business.
- Report Preparation: Create clear and concise financial reports for management, sales, and other stakeholders.
- Cost Analysis: Examine the company's costs and margins to identify areas where reductions can be made.
- Financial Forecasting: Developing financial models to predict the future performance of the business.
- Financial Management Consulting: Provide recommendations to management on how to improve the financial performance of the company.
- Cash Management: Monitoring cash flow and ensuring that the company has enough cash to meet its obligations.
Skills and qualifications
- In-depth knowledge of accounting principles and financial statements.
- Proficiency in accounting software: SAGE, PREXTRA (an asset).
- Analytical skills: Ability to analyze financial data and identify trends.
- Communication skills: Ability to communicate financial information clearly and effectively to various stakeholders.
- Organizational skills: Ability to multitask and meet deadlines.
Desired profile
- CPA designation (or candidate for the profession) (an asset)
- University degree in accounting
- Bilingual (French and English)
- Experience in the distribution industry (an asset)
- Good knowledge of the accounting cycle
- Proficiency in the Office suite (mainly Excel)
- Has knowledge of accounting software (SAGE, PREXTRA; an asset)
- Comfortable with computerized management systems
- Works with privacy in mind
- Has excellent organizational skills
- Has good analytical skills and works rigorously
- Excellent communication skills and team spirit
- Payroll experience (an asset)
