Position Summary

We are seeking a detail-oriented, self-motivated accountant who will use their financial and accounting background to support our clients. This role provides full-cycle accounting services to different internal clients, requiring someone comfortable diving deep into the details while maintaining a clear view of the bigger picture.

This position will be a rewarding opportunity for those who enjoy taking responsibility for the entire process, start to finish, as the role involves completing all accounting activities, financial reporting, and the support of other family office tasks.

This is a full-time, on-site position based at our Calgary location.

Your role will include, but is not limited to:

  • Maintaining the accounting records, including daily bookkeeping
  • AP processing and Invoice Management
  • Trust Accounting and reporting
  • Recording and reconciliation of intercompany transactions
  • Prepare financial statements
  • Prepare ad hoc financial reports by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing information and trends
  • Stakeholder management and relationship building, including coordinating with other service providers
  • Prepare various tax and regulatory returns (T2s, GST, WCB and Corporate tax filings)
  • Maintains confidence and protects operations by keeping financial information confidential
  • Other duties as assigned
Required Skills or Experience
  • Bachelors degree or diploma in accounting, finance or related field required
  • 2+ years work experience in full-cycle accounting experience
  • Inventory Management Experience
  • Knowledge in IFirm and QuickBooks Online
  • Ability to balance and prioritize multiple priorities in a dynamic environment
  • Positive attitude and willingness to learn
