A marine transportation company is seeking a 2nd Engineer to work offshore Atlantic Canada. The 2nd Engineer is the vessel's designated Safety Officer and Safety Representative. Under the supervision of the 1st Engineer, the 2nd Engineer is responsible for the planning and supervision of preventive maintenance activities and repairs to the ship's machinery, equipment, and systems. Responsibilities include the preventive maintenance and maintenance of the main engine and propulsion system and the supervision of the maintenance of the auxiliary machinery.
