We are seeking a Tax Recon Specialist to join our team, focusing on the critical area of Tax Reconciliation. This role is perfect for a detail-oriented professional who excels at investigating discrepancies and ensuring accuracy. You will play a pivotal role in maintaining the integrity of our tax reporting by systematically reconciling data from reconciliation teams against internal accounting teams and the tax information reported by local tax authorities in all of our active countries.

This is a highly collaborative position that requires you to work closely with various internal and external stakeholders. You will be responsible for identifying, analyzing, and resolving variances in tax data, as well as improving the processes that ensure our tax reporting is both accurate and compliant.

You will be responsible for:

• Act as the primary subject matter expert for complex tax reconciliation processes, conducting advanced analysis to identify and resolve discrepancies between internal records and tax authority data;
• Translate complex tax concepts and analysis into clear, actionable insights for senior leadership and other departments. Generate reports that support high-level decision-making and strategic planning;
• Proactively identify and lead the implementation of significant improvements to tax reconciliation processes. This includes evaluating and deploying advanced technologies, analytical tools, and methodologies to enhance efficiency, control, and scalability;
• Work closely with multidisciplinary teams, including Accounting, Tax Compliance and Reconciliation, to solve the most challenging problems and build a culture of technical excellence. Provide guidance and mentorship to other team members, elevating the team's overall capabilities;
• Investigate and resolve discrepancies and variances in tax data to ensure accuracy and compliance;
• Maintain deep expertise in internal tax policies and external regulations, acting as a resource for the team. Anticipate future regulatory changes and their potential impact, developing proactive strategies to ensure continuous compliance and minimize risk.

Main requirements for this position:

• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, Law or a related field;
• Demonstrated expertise in a specific area of tax (e.g., VAT, corporate income tax, international tax);
• Proven experience in financial reconciliation, with a strong preference for experience in tax-related reconciliation;
• Strong understanding of accounting principles, financial data flows, and tax reporting processes;
• Advanced skills in Excel/Google Sheets; experience with ERP and Simetrik tool is a strong advantage;
• Exceptional attention to detail, analytical thinking, and problem-solving abilities;
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively across multiple teams in a global environment;
• Advanced English and Spanish are required. Portuguese is a plus.

• Experience in a fintech or high-growth tech company;
• Experience with a global company that operates in multiple tax jurisdictions;
• Nice to have: Knowledge of SQL, automation tools and/or data visualization (e.g., Alteryx, Looker, Power BI, or Tableau).
