- Platform Development: Spearhead the development and optimization of our EHR platform using PHP / Laravel, ensuring high performance, reliability, and scalability.
- Database Development: Creating database schemas that represent and support business processes.
- API Development and Integration: Develop and maintain APIs for internal and external use, facilitating seamless integration with other healthcare systems and third-party services.
- Security Compliance: Ensure the platform's compliance with healthcare industry standards, including HIPAA, by implementing and maintaining robust security measures and data protection protocols.
- Mentor junior developers, providing guidance on best practices in backend development, code review, and team collaboration.
- Stay abreast of new technology trends and evaluate their application to continually innovate and enhance the platform.
- Participate in the agile development process, contributing to sprint planning, stand-ups, and retrospectives, ensuring timely delivery of high-quality software.
- Collaborate with the design team to refine the platform's user interface and experience, implementing responsive and intuitive front-end functionalities using modern JavaScript frameworks.
- Technical Expertise: Strong proficiency in PHP / Laravel and MySQL. Familiarity with version control tools, preferably Git.
- Experience: At least 5 years of experience in backend development, with a proven track record of developing and maintaining scalable web applications. Experience in the healthcare sector or EHR platforms is highly desirable.
